In summer this is a great way to have your healthy oats for breakfast without the heat. By preparing the night before you will ensure you have a healthy breakfast just waiting in the fridge for you to enjoy.
In winter, all you have to do is a quick reheat of the prepared oats and breakfast is served.
Preparation 5mins Serves 1
1/4 cup Oats (Quick cook)
1/2 cup boiling water
Fresh or frozen berries (or fruit of your choice)
To prepare your breakfast the night before simply add the oats to a preserving or mason jar then pour the boiling water in.
Give it a quick stir, put the lid on the jar and pop it into the fridge.
At breakfast time, simply open the jar add your fruit and enjoy straight from the jar – you can also add a little milk and a dash of maple syrup if you like.
In winter, remove the lid from the jar and heat the jar of oats in the microwave until heated to your liking then add your fruit. You can add milk before or after the reheat.
